October 2025

Available in late October, Radio Body Music/80s Records will be releasing "Let Your Body Learn - A Tribute to Nitzer Ebb". halovox has produced a cover of "Shame".

halovox committed to participating in this compilation at the beginning of the year. Upon hearing the unexpected and devastating news of Douglas McCarthy's passing, the project took on even greater meaning. Nitzer Ebb was one of the first industrial bands I ever heard and I was immediately in love with the raw energy and power of their vocals, synths, and drums.

I was fortunate to see them perform a few times and the last time I met Douglas McCarthy before the show at the Gramercy Theatre in 2010. He was incredibly gracious and there was a peacefulness about him. It was amazing to share a few moments of conversation and experience him in that way. It was like the calm before the storm because once he hit the stage, he was the storm. His voice, music, and influence will live on forever and I will be forever grateful.

The new halovox single "Crashing Lights" is now available!

This song is a collaboration with The Black Star Experiment and the realization of an idea from 15 years ago. While working on songs for the halovox album "Everybody Lies", I was developing a song about a car crash called "Blood On The Windshield". Lyrics were written and music composed, but it never came to fruition. I saved what I had, and it seemed that was as far as it would go.

When I heard the instrumental "Crashing Lights" by The Black Star Experiment, I immediately fell in love with its dreamy atmosphere. As I repeatedly listened, I found there was a natural space for some vocals and started singing along to it. I remembered some of the lyrics from "Blood On The Windshield" and thought they might fit. I recorded a rough demo and shared it with The Black Star Experiment, and I was very excited that they liked the idea and agreed to collaborate on a lyric version of the track.

We worked together on the new arrangement, and after I had finished writing and recording the vocals, The Black Star Experiment created the final mix of the song. Please order "Crashing Lights" now and be sure to check out all of The Black Star Experiment's releases!

Special thanks to Tenderlash for the wonderful cover art!
